The Captain America star seems like a potential dark horse...he would 39 in 2020. Handsome, tall, dark, white male Hollywood actor won't be a bad choice for Democrats, would he? He's from Massachusetts, could win the New Hampshire primary. Thoughts?

Has he shown any interest whatsoever in running?

No. I could see him running. It seems that he despises Trump, since the comments he has made over the past couple of months show that. If he runs, he could win a lot of millennial voters who know him from Captain America. He isn't bad looking either, by the way. Looks matter.

These are going to be just such intellectually rich four years on this forum, won't they?

What do you mean? The man is an outspoken actor, he is baggageless, he could mount a serious run. He has the looks for the job. "Captain America" sounds good in a presidential campaign. He's young as well. Trump will be 74, but the his opponent would look youthful and energetic.

If Arnold could do it in California, anyone could do it on the left as well.

For one, is Evans even a Democrat? Second, there's no way he wins the liberal party's nomination after this:

Have you seen our President-Elect yet and how he ran his campaign? If intellectual richness had anything of worth in this country, we wouldn't be having these post-election conversations to begin with; but clearly, we have to hide intellectual pursuits behind diatribe, populism, and mind-numbing instant gratification discourse to get anything done moving forward.

This guy?

I don't think he's eligible, plus he couldn't even manage to host Top Gear for a year. How could he manage our country for a full term?

He is. His uncle is Michael Capuano, from Massachusetts. A liberal Democratic representative. Evans could win.

At this point, the Democrats may need to shake things up. Kanye, Tom Hanks, could be vastly better than Sanders or Warren or Sherrod Brown.

I would vote for a broom before I'd vote for Donald Trump, so yes I would vote for Captain America.
