IF it happened it'd be war because there is no legit reason for the electors not to vote for Trump.

Legit reason #1: It is their duty, and main reason for being, to deny the presidency to a would-be dictator.

Legit reason #2: Russia and James Comey elected Trump; not the American people.

We won.

You lost.

Quit being bitter.

i could be wrong - apologies in advance - but weren't you one of the people who...lost...this election?

Congress would reject the electoral votes of the traitors and then elect Trump and Pence.

Yes. Republicans would get so pissed there would be no way for the House not to elect Trump.

this would be preferable to hillary, i guess. but i don't believe a split second it could happen.

"best case" scenario: trump gets elected but loses a record number of electors and is handed an even weaker mandate.

You won because Russia hacked our election.

You lost by nearly 3 million votes.

But anyway, the two reasons I listed are valid and I challenge you to prove otherwise.

As far as I'm concerned, folks have a right to be as bitter as they want to be.

If this happened, the folks who are now whining will be cheering and vice versa.

i really enjoy all of your postings, even when i don't agree. they are so honest and thought-through.

the win was legitimate in a republic (not a pure democracy which the US never wanted to be) under the current system.

finding out if one of the founding fathers greatest fears - the meddling of foreign powers - has happened is front and center anyway.

the question of trump's qualification or possible - maybe impeachable - faults has nothing to do with the election itself.

if the EC can't decide for anyone ofc the house must settle it.

this should be the NORMAL way to do things under an EC system.
