I mean there's no reason why he wouldn't. Assange would be free to flee that cramped embassy and come to the US with a full pardon for anything he might charged with.

Of course since plenty in the CIA clearly don't like Trump someone there will probably have him killed anyway.

One could hope but seriously even when hacking DNC I gave him the befit of the doubt but now that he's targeting Merkel just after she announced she's running again against a pro-Putin candidate it's obvious he is now just airing the dirty laundry of anti-Putin figures

Hillary Clinton wants him droned, so that might be the worst thing possible for Assange.

Dream on.

Hopefully Putin hands Snowden over to the US as a goodwill gesture and Trump lets him rot in jail like he deserves.

Anything less would be a betrayal of an important ally after all the work Julian Assange had done ensuring his victory.   Trump owes him one.

Trump also owed Gingrich, Guilliani & Christie! How did that go?

Is that even possible though? Can he actually leave the embassy without getting arrested on the spot?

It's only fair. Debts should be repaid.

None you mentioned proved as instrumental as Assange in bringing Hillary down.  Except for Vladimir Putin, of course.

Trump should give this man the Lincoln Bedroom suite in the White House for a job well-done.

How does Assange get from the Ecuadoran embassy to the US embassy?  The moment he leaves the Ecuadoran embassy he'll get picked up by the Brits and sent off to Sweden.

Couldn't Ecuador label him "diplomatic cargo" or something?

They could have done that long ago if it was legit.

Right.  Why bother with the resulting sh**tstorm with the UK if they try and pull a stunt like that.

Trump is willing to take a call from the President of Taiwan, breaking with decades of China policy for no obvious gain. A diplomatic sh[inks]storm with the UK won't bother him in the slightest.

LOL. There are still people out there who think Trump pays people who work for him, or shows any loyalty towards people who helped him win?
