Well, what about our Secretary of State to be, assuming he gets confirmed (where I have doubts)?

I voted neither as of now. Currently I lean more towards HP, though he seems to be an intelligent dude. But before judging him politically, I want to be fair and see his first months in office. Despite all doubts I have, I知 ready to give this guy a chance.

I have a feeling he'll be rejected and Newt Gingrich or John Bolton will wind up being Secretary of State.

In that case, I bet on Bob Corker. Bolton would have trouble in the senate as well and probably Gingrich, too.

Let's pray this will come true.

Wouldn't have been a bad or objectionable pick for Secretary of Commerce or Energy. State isn't the place for him, though. Voted neither.

Seems like Trump just wants to give the cabinet to a bunch of CEOs instead of actually looking at who is good for the job.

He had plenty of better choices.

I would have picked Romney in Trump's shoes. I was assuming Donnie to be smarter.

Trump was about to select Romney, but then Russians exercised their veto.

President Trump should not have picked Romney with the very bad things he said about Melania and himself.

I would never vote to confirm anyone with ties to Russia such as himself if we had a proRussia president....there should be a check....yet another reason why Mitt Romney is the best SOS choice.

Mitt's finished because of how cruel he was to Melania during his speech in march. I don't think President Trump has forgiven him for it.

He seems rather shady, and I don't think the biggest oil baron in the world is the right choice for America's top diplomat.

Not only is he not the best person for the job (whatever that ever means), I wouldn't be surprised if he's not even the best Exxon executive for the job.

Mild FF.

There are issues I disagree with Tillerson (too conservative), on others (like climate change, his efforts to help gays) I agree. On others, I have mixed feelings; like Russia. Not a fan of Putin, who's an autocrat, but we should try to get along with his country. I didn't know Tillerson before his name was floated for the State Department, but he is undoubtly a very competent CEO and a good negotiator on the world stage; at least in buisness. Let's give him a try.
