Will Tillerson be confirmed or rejected?

I have a feeling that he will be rejected and John Bolton and Newt Gingrich will be the next candidates.

I think he will be confirmed and be the best god damn Secretary of State we've ever had.

I hope you are right

Give it a few weeks and the shameless cowards in the senate will cave, they always do.

You are 100% Correct it wouldn't be all that much of a shock if he was approved when you think about it for a while.

I think the Senate narrowly confirms Tillerson. I mean, aside from a huge scandal, McConnell has a strong grip on the GOP conference. And embarrassing the new president with a failed SoS nomination is a strong no no for a GOP wanting to do well in 2018.

Tillerson is a retarded move for many, many reasons, however. Necessarily: he's not competent at managing a foreign policy and has no prior political experience. But of course, to a group of morons that came into office believing not knowing the industry you're in is an asset and believing you're much smarter than everyone in that industry, Tillerson is the perfect pick.

At some point, this Administration will be a working thesis on "Why we Don't Elect People With No Damned Political Experience." After it becomes a raging dumpster fire.

Looks like Graham and Rubio might also vote no on Tillerson: http://www.wsj.com/articles/sen-marco-rubio-says-he-has-serious-concerns-with-rex-tillerson-pick-1481640543

I think Manchin will try to confirm Tillerson, but not any other Democrat.

Toomey might vote no on Tillerson: http://www.politicspa.com/pa-sen-toomey-hesitant-on-tillerson/80515/
I can also see Heller voting against Tillerson. Manchin and Donnelly are the only Democrats I can see voting for Tillerson. I can also see Flake voting against Tillerson: http://hotair.com/archives/2016/12/11/marco-rubio-john-mccain-warn-trump-on-nominating-tillerson-for-state-job/
Sasse might vote against Tillerson: http://www.wsj.com/articles/sen-marco-rubio-says-he-has-serious-concerns-with-rex-tillerson-pick-1481640543
