How would she do if she ran in the Democratic primary? She seems to be pretty progressive, but I probably need to do some more research into that.

The big question is Tammy Baldwin 2018? She's got very average approval ratings in Wisconsin; where the democrats have rather been rather confident about only to lose.

She'd be a decent choice for 2020, provided that she wins re-election 2018.

I am not sure that America will elect a lesbian as President.

Other than that, Tammy Baldwin isn't anything special.  She comes from a state Democrats want to win back.

Yeah, will be interesting to see how many Walker/Baldwin voters there are.

It's all about turnout patterns. Remember she did get elected in 2012.

I have doubts in America electing a lesbian for president.

Nah, she's DOA in 2018 since Trump winning Wisconsin proves that the state is now a dark red state that is unwinnable for Democrats.

Remember when Wisconsin was a cosmopolitan paradise of egalitarian thinking? Real shame that it became a redneck sh1thole all of sudden. Thanks white people.

Thank Scott Walker for doing everything possible to make Wisconsin a miserable place in which to be a liberal.

I remember back in 2012 when she was supposedly going to blow the seat for the Dems because a progressive Madison lesbian couldn't defeat a popular ex-governor, especially after 2012 and the recall. I like her chances in 2018, but it doesn't seem like she's interested in the Presidency.

Wisconsin has always been a place where civil progressives and ugly conservatives have lived side by side.

Bob Lafollette Jr. and Joe McCarthy.  Gaylord Nelson and Bob Kasten.  Scott Walker and Herb Kohl.

Wisconsin was a FF state in the 1924 Presidential election.
