Since I simply empty quoted and felt bad for the OP, I will use this opportunity to semi-attention whore. Smiley

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business in Spring 2014.  Was dead-set on the University of Illinois (been an Illini fan my whole life, from Peoria, etc.), but none of my high school friends wanted to go with me, and I had a girlfriend in Iowa City at the time.  I don't regret going to Iowa at all, but there are definitely parts of me that would have liked to spend my undergrad years in Champaign.

As for how Iowa "ranks," I suppose that depends on your perspective.  It usually ranks in the top 70 nationally/top 25 public schools in the country, and the business school usually ranks significantly higher than that.  I have learned in my years since college, though, that where you went to school - even your GPA - matters about 1/4th as much as how personable you are in the interview and, later, what work is on your resume.  It's cliche, but people evaluate potential employees on how much they'd enjoy working with them (which obviously includes how good you'd be at the technical aspects of the job, too).  Period.
