The NFL Commissioner?  He'd be sacked by Tom Brady first.  

I used to think Tom Brady was a cheat.  But I've since read that it's been pretty much confirmed that 'deflategate' was just a load of hot air.  So, it seems Goodell is a sleazebag who just has a dislike of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots from some reason.

Tom Brady seems to be a decent person who must have gone felt like he was in hell for being accused of cheating.

Goodell is also terrible on a bunch of of other things, most notably his lying about concussions.

So basically he'll be the male Hillary Clinton. Accused of lying too much and scandal-laden.

1) Goddell is a Republican, obviously, and confirmed by his wikipedia page.

2) I mean, really, how do you think one of the most hated public figures in America would do in a Presidential nomination battle?  You might as well start a thread called "Martin Skreli 2020?"

He seems to be a centrist type guy than a conservative one, so he could easily switch. Not that it could happen. 

Plus he's not a fond of Donald Trump

What credentials does he have? Every single controversy the NFL has encountered over the past 5 or so years, Roger Goodell has mishandled completely.

Tom Brady's only suspicious morals are his cheating/wife rumors with a great deal of credibility. That's a lot better than the unfortunate truth of Bill Clinton's suspicious morals on rape.

Regardless of which party he decides to run in or goes indy, he would lose massively. Lots of backlash against him regarding the state of the NFL will be the biggie.

Ooooo, he can be the next Eisenhower!!  Democrats will create a fantasy that he is anything other than a lifelong, conservative Republican (even if he's pragmatic), try to woo him to switch parties and then he can run for the GOP and win in a landslide! Smiley

Goodell's Dad, former NY Sen. Charles Gooddell (R-NY) lost to Conservative Party nominee James Buckley in a 3 way race in 1970.  Charles Gooddell (who later served in the Ford Administration) was an anti-war liberal Republican who was called "the Christine Jorgensen of the Republican Party" on the campaign trail by Spiro Agnew, sending the message to NY's Republicans that the Nixon Administration was in Buckley's corner.

Roger is probably a somewhat nominal Republican, but he'd be a terrible candidate no matter which party he ran in.
