Joe Biden is your president. Deal with it.

This is what kind of scares me, WW3 and stuff that leads to the 2020 election being canceled.

There wasn't supposed to be an election in 2008 either after John Kerry lost and the great and powerful Mr. Daschle got booted out Senate.

We all know what happened.

We are Nazi Germany in 1933.

While I still think there will be an election, I can buy it just being a formality.

Maybe Nazi Germany in 1930, but the mere fact that there exists an opposition with legal rights that will be upheld in courts shows we still have a long way to go before 1933.

It could be rigged. Politics for the GOP is nothing more than the consolidation of power on behalf of the Master Class.

Right now I give it about 80% odds, but like others have said, it could just be a formality anyway.

LOL, the question is some sort of ridiculous. For sure, the Trumpster is advocating bad policies and has problems with his personality, but the constitution is strong enough to prevent anything like this from happening. If the Trumpster tries (and despite all criticism, I highly doubt it), to suspend parts of the constitution are make himself an autocrat/dictator, he gets impeached. End of story. I worry much about his political mission on the issues, his erratic personality and conflicts of interest, but not about democracy itself.

This thread is embarrassing and a waste of time, but there are three things I need to say:

1. I would like to read what the Dems here would write if we had 2008 and Republicans would behave that childish like Dems do today.

2. Trump is by far more moderate and mainstream/centrist than Obama who in fact was the most liberal and left-leaning POTUS ever.

3. Any comparison to Germany's 1930s is an insult to the thousands of Germans of all (!) political colors who died in this period of time. Everyone making such comparisons should be ashamed.

You think Obama was the most liberal President ever?

Do some research first. Read up on FDR ar LBJ.

Well, it depends what liberal means. In FDR's and LBJ's time issues like gay marriage were not disucssued and their position is unknown. In terms of social legislation, FDR and LBJ definitely topped Obama, but the two former presidents had a more friendly congress.
