Just two months before her 100th birthday, just terrible. Although today I learned she was once in Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

I knew she had close calls before, since people have been expecting her to die for a while. I just looked it up and yeesh!

 She got into a bad automobile accident in 2002.
 Then became partially paralyzed.
 Then had a stroke.
 Then, two years later, had another stroke.
 Then fractured her hip.
 Then had her hip replaced.
 Then had another serious condition and had last rites performed, but she lived.
 Then she had half her leg amputated because of an infection.
 Then hospitalized seriously again.
 Then had a lung infection and difficult breathing.
 Then she had to have surgery on her feeding tube for the lung infection.
 Yesterday, she finally died of a heart attack, a couple months shy of 100 years old.

 Yikes.

 It's a little cruel that she suffered that much and for that long. She seemed as immortal as Fidel Castro... and 2016 ended up getting him too

She was only 21 when he died so that doesn't seem likely. But judging by the rest of her life, it wouldn't be totally shocking.
