Apparently an issue was that Tunisia denied that he was a citizen. Documents that would have allowed for deportation arrived literally today.
Today? Convenient.

It was a sarcastic comment of how bureaucrats and the underlings in business start to do things after sh**t hits the fan. Imagine someone cracked some skulls in Tunisia to get the paperwork out ASAP after the guy's name became public

Anyway, an excellent post from another message board I'm on regarding the social plight recent Muslim country-based immigrants are seeing in Germany.

Yes, deportation did not happen because of weak leadership. Germany is a strong country. Why can't it make countries like Tunisia to take those people back? Through diplomatic and econmic pressure. We have almost all the cards and don't play it.

But even if you put the deportation issue out of consideration, the guy should have never been allowed to enter German soil. First because almost zero percent of Tunisians are granted asylum, and second, even more important, because he was already convicted and been in jail in Italy. And a known radical islamist.

The authorities failed three times: he entered the country but shouldn't have, he was not deported although he should have been and third, because he was observed by the intelligence agencies for several months of 2016, but they lost him off the screen a few weeks ago. Bad!

How many more "shouldn't be here" potential timebombs are out there that we won't know about until AFTER they drive a bus through a day care? 5k? 50k?  How many more are you making or importing everyday? 10? 30?

Good funking luck Europe.

Sympathies to the family and friends of the victims, especially at Christmas.

Apparently, the Tunisian suspect was now killed in a shootout with police in Milan, Italy.

Source: Reuters

(that means he travelled through Austria into Italy, without anyone noticing)

Well, apparently not (even though it would have been the shorter route).

RAI reports he took the train to France and then from France to Milan.

Police wanted to carry out an ID check on that "person who was roaming the streets at 3AM", after which he started shooting immediately at the police officers. The police officers then immediately killed the guy.

It appears the suspect wasn't a refugee - his application was rejected.

Too bad they didn't catch him alive. Of course, were I the leader of UK Labour, that would now be distorted to me actually being a sympathizer.
