Were you ever particularly good at sports and/or other physical activities?

Since this forum is comprised mainly of nerds and not jocks, I don't expect a majority to vote "yes", but it will be interesting to see how many do.

I have never been very athletic.

Yup, before I got lazy, I used to be a good runner and I used to ride my bike up all sorts of crazy hills.

P.E. was always one of my strong suits, especially if the sport in question was defensive.

Maybe when I was really little. Before my transition I wasn't completely awful though.

I used to be quite decent as volleyball, but on account of my respiratory issues, it was usually hard to play any sport for long bursts. Basketball - basically just a rebounding specialist thanks to my scrappiness. Tennis may have been my best where I was competitive with friends from the school team, but I'm nothing like the Europeans on the public courts obviously. So depends on your definition.

So, generally a respectable non-athletic scrappy effort in niche roles/sports.

I was good at cricket, sailing and snowboarding. I never even enjoyed playing other sports, partly because I don't have the endurance to play for long. If grew up in the US, I would have liked to have played baseball.

I'm a pretty reliable football player, and I can play defense in basketball pretty well.

I still jog just about every day (and have since HS) and go biking/swimming several times a week.

Just no other way for me to not do all that and still be able to eat copious amounts of sweets

Not at all until about last September, when I played a sport for the first time since I was five. I played soccer for September-November. Apparently I'm fast and good at defense.

Yep, played center field in baseball.  Was always a better fielder than I was a hitter.

Yes, but not in any "normal" sports. My main sport was Nordic skiing, and I actually got to race against a few future Olympians. Our team captain probably could have been in the Olympics if she wanted, but she never wanted to do all the travel required to go to all the qualifiers. Also, in high school, my boat on the rowing team was one of the top boats nationally in our weight class (<155 lbs. men's 8+). I was never personally as good at rowing as I was at skiing, though.

I once made the little league all star game when everyone else on my team was disqualified.  Very proud moment I will never forget.

I was really strong and could run long distances in high school, so I was athletic.  I wasn't particularly good at any sports though.

I was actually a somewhat good swimmer, but my mother forced me to partake in that and usually ended up drunkenly screaming at me from the side of the pool with her friends (who were even worse to their kids). What is it with drunken South Florida middle aged moms?

Anyway, one day I told her to "quit being such a psycho-bitch" when I was twelve and she stormed out. She would barely show up (she claimed I "humiliated her") and never sat by the pool again. I gave up soon after when I didn't have that weight around me, and a year later I was free of that horrible pool. I had the creepiest coach (an old man with a whispy mustache who wore a speedo), and then afterwards this older couple from New Zealand took over. I remember the woman was a deadringer for Helen Clark. They were a lot easier to work with, less creepy, but also a bit more solemn and serious.

I'm starting to realize that my childhood was a lot shittier than I remembered. Who knows what would have happened if I enjoyed it? Maybe I'd have been a mediocre swimmer. Or not. I liked golf more, and I suuuuuccccckkkkk at golf.

My body isn't very athletic. I weigh about 145 pounds (a lifetime high) and am about 5'11. I'd rather sit on my ass and argue politics here while puffing on a cigarette than spend my day in a pool going back and forth. A good life is one that is not too short, not too long, and very fun. If that means heart attack at aged 76, then fine, beam me up scotty!

This. Even if I was good at sports (which I doubt I am), they still wouldn't interest me.

From about 16 to 27 I was "somewhat" athletic, which is how I voted.  Before that I was awkward and weak (I was very sick when I was 9-10).  I think if I had been pushed into basketball or (to a much lesser extent) football at a young age instead of baseball I may have been able to play at a sh**tty college.

I'm generally recognized as strong, and I got fifth in a 5K a few months ago. But anything involving coordination, quick wits, and following arbitrary-ass rules was beyond the pale for me.

I play golf. Yeah, I don't think I would or will ever be considered a good athlete, P.E. is easily my worst subject at school.
