I like all the boroughs, except maybe the Bronx. But Riverdale is nice, so eh.

I hate Bay Ridge. If you're going to vote Republican ALL THE TIME, just move across the bay to Staten Island. Guess they don't want to take the ferry.

Everyone else who listed Manhattan first had Staten Island last.

Queens needs more love!

Also while the Bronx is hardly the best borough, Arthur Ave. is probably my favorite ethnic neighborhood aside from Manhattan's Chinatown. The food there is delicious and inexpensive compared to the vestiges of Manhattan's Little Italy.

Please visit Staten Island. They have a lot of beautiful enclaves and neighborhoods.

Bay Ridge is still an Italian/Norwegian/Irish blue collar enclave, despite Arabs moving in. The Irish/Italians will fight over the City Council seat, and if Linda Sarsour wins that seat, the Giuliani Democrats will have soul searching to do.

It's still a blue collar conservative-leaning enclave.

Norwegian, really? I was under the impression that it was 97% Italian. Since when does NYC have a noticeable Norwegian population?

Manhattan is obviously the best, but since it's so expensive, I voted for Queens.

Peggy Olson, a fictional character in AMC's Mad Men, is ethnically Norwegian and is from Bay Ridge.

I imagine the area is a lot less ethnically Norwegian today than in the 1960s though, and I think in the show Peggy's family even had some off-handed comments about the area becoming more Italian.

There's a couple interesting Wikipedia articles and links on Bay Ridge's and NYC's Norwegian-American population.

Anyway:

1) Manhattan
2) Brooklyn
3) Queens
4) Bronx
5) Staten Island
