Darwin (R), the one who didn't cause my people to be persecuted over and over again.

Darwin is actually winning with Republicans in this poll and Jesus with Democrats, wow.

Uh, that is HARDLY Jesus' fault, haha.
Yeah there was a good chunk of time between the life of Christ and the persecution of Jews by Christians.

Who cares? He was the reason it happened. Is it really hard to understand why a Jew would vote Darwin -- or, quite frankly, most people -- over Jesus?

I took the question as which one would you approve of more politically, i.e., which one would you want to be in charge of political activity in your country (seeing as this is the individual politics forum).  In which case, yes, you should totally be expected to put aside personal animus for the greater good in that case, assuming you agree that the ethical, egalitarian Jesus would be better than the reasonable, cerebral, victorian Darwin.

Now, if you took the question as simply which one do you like better, it's totally reasonable for you to choose Darwin for the reason you mentioned.

Yea, if Jesus visited Earth during, say, the Eastern Roman "Byzantine" Empire, or maybe Tsarist Russia 1000 years later....well I doubt he'd be a fan of the pogroms.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Anti-Semitism is Christianity's very own original sin and it's pointless to act confused or affronted when a Jew points that out. 'Tis the season.

That sentence of mine was supposed to be worded differently.  Less self-righteous sounding and and more humorous.
"Totally be expected" was just a really sh**tty choice of words.  Was supposed to be tongue in cheek.

Jesus (R, normal, Christian).  Nothing against Darwin, but he can't hold a candle to the King of Kings.
