I can accept a pro-life Democrat in Arizona or rural Minnesota, but suburban Boston? Not really. I do wish Wu was actually a credible candidate with real credentials, but if Trump can get elected, then why not.

It's not because she's an SJW. Even without the pro-life credentials, I would consider Lynch one of the best congressmen overall. With the dying power of unions in this country, it is of utmost importance to have such a major voice with his background in Congress (and a veteran one at that). I like that he's pro-life, but let's not even pretend that is important in national policy-making. I vote Democrat for people like him. The side Sanders voters take in this matter tell me if they are legitimately good people or the vile people who dissuaded me at every turn.

These days I'm not fully pro-life though, I believe abortion policy needs to take into account the rights of the unborn baby, alongside the rights of the mother and her body, and how viable the foetus is, at the stage of pregnancy. It is an multifaceted issue, and personally I'm pro-life, though in public policy, its more mixed. I think abortion should be discouraged, but still legal for various circumstances. I'd like the abortion rate to be very low legally.

I'd be in favor of Wu, but I wouldn't be too broken up if Lynch wins. It's Massachusetts, Democrats there are pretty good compared to Democrats in a lot of other places.

I would like more union folks in Congress anyway though. There are far too few of them these days.
