Why should it be any day besides December 25th?
Because I don't like it. It's too cold. Even with global warming. December is a depressing time of year as it is getting darker and darker. The spring would be better, a time of new birth and hope.
Why should Christmas be so important and Easter not?

People need something to cheer themselves up during the darkness.
although all the stress people put themselves under because of all the holiday stress isn't the right way to go about cheering oneself up, perhaps a little "silent night" would be better

I always thought that Christmas was just an arbitrary date. I did not know that there was "evidence" that Jesus actually was born on 12/25 (although I am still skeptical of that "evidence" of course).

Even if Jesus was born 12/25 celebrating his  birthday on that date is still not necessary. The actual date is still arbitrary because you can celebrate any birthday on another day, especially a few days early or late or even six months before/after and celebrating Christmas at all is traditional, not Biblical.

Also the calendar change of 1582 adjusted the dates by 1 days, so 12/25 couldn't be the same on both.
12/25 1582 wouldn't have been 365 days after 12/25 1581 and Christmas should have been on the 14th of December. (is that where the 12 days of Christmas comes from)
and this because a year is not 365 days... but rather 365.2422

Actually, I can sum up my "war on Christmas" in two words, Jesus and Santa.
The positive side of Christmas is good relations with friends and family and compassion for those in need, emotionally or financially.
The religious problem represented by the false Jesus is hellfire and divisiveness which in the words of CSN "their father's hell did slowly go by" and this no longer as big a problem, for sure, today. The myth of Santa (aka Satan) is the perversion of the meaning of Christmas, as the whos (sort of) understood "Christmas isn't just about gift giving"

The cloud is how the message has been distorted. The silver lining is the good stuff, or if you will, the so called "true meaning of Christmas", "peace on earth". Unless you work for peace on earth by word or deed, why even celebrate the holiday?

Just keep it the way it is.  I see no reason to change it.

December 25th.  I like Christianity's Pagan influences.

Wow. Who cares enough to write that article?

Wow. Who cares enough to make smart remarks about it?

Interestingly, in the fourth century, due to the drift of the Julian calendar, December 25 was the Winter Solstice.

I'm fine with having it when it is (we need a holiday during the otherwise dark, depressing days of late December), but we need to:

1. cut down on the hype and consumerism. Christmas ends up causing people so much stress that it's not even fun for them anymore and they're relieved when it is over. This should change.
2. realize that Jesus was not born on December 25 or even a date remotely close to that. The date was chosen to coincide with the pagan holiday of Yule.
3. realize that most Christmas customs were originally pagan customs associated with Yule. They are only Christian in that Christianity appropriated them from pagan culture.

It doesn't matter when it is, obviously; that's not the point.  So just keep it when they chose to make it.
My thoughts exactly.
