Maduro is a Putin ally, so once Trump takes over the US foreign policy is going to change big time toward Venezuela. Trump will probably try to have the CIA rig the 2018 elections IN FAVOR of Maduro, though luckily I doubt he'd be able to (the actual CIA would just tell him to f[inks] off if he tried to order that.)

Trump doesn't even know who Maduro is, so no.

Why would Trump do that? Isn't Trump more likely to tell Putin to stop backing Maduro. After all if Russia becomes an ally of the United States under Trump then Trump will be by far the most powerful person in the relationship.

LOL, likely that one. Although it isn't actually funny. It means that several posters here know more about the world than the US president.

It would largely depend on whether Maduro or Capriles gives Trump more of what he wants.

Not to be crude, but it would largely depend on whether Maduro or Capriles gives better fellatio.

That's really not fair or accurate. It's quite clear that President-elect Pussygrabber's standards are much lower than that, but not quite that simple. (Never mind his claims of expertise in rating prostitutes. Like most of what he says, they're probably bullsh**t.)

What Trump does is the product of the relationship between a couple of basics:

How much does he like the idea?

How much did he like the person who told him about the idea?

How recently was it repeated in his hearing? (Repeating it himself counts.)

How much money / ego inflation can he get from it?

How much work is it to actually start and follow through?

Those appear to let you model his behavior pretty accurately. Considerations like legality, right and wrong, morality, humanity, responsibility, etc don't seem to enter into the mechanism.

Not a rhetorical question - What has Obama done to see to it he doesn't stay in power?

nothing because he doesn't have to. His obvious end is inevitable and western meddling will only make things worse.

Then I wouldn't expect him to be on Trump's radar.

I hope not. That crook is living lavish while his country starves in the streets and eats cats for supper.

Indeed, US getting involved could be the only thing that keeps this thug in power

Russia as a nation is far more powerful than Trump the individual, and remember that the FSB has video of everything Trump has ever done in a Russian hotel room, so think about that in terms of who's holding the power in that relationship. Also Trump can easily be manipulated by flattery whereas Putin can't.
