...hasn't quite endeared them to many of the voters who lack college degrees and will never receive them? Especially since these voters' livelihoods and communities have declined or been all but wiped out in recent decades - while simultaneously, college-educated Americans have done better (and post-grads - among the most liberal of groups, in aggregate - have done a lot better).

Just a thought.
