Dark= safe D/R
Normal= Strongly leans D/R
Light= Leans D/R
Green= Absolute toss-up


Missouri was not a confederate state, but is often considered a state of the Upper South.




Two of the 13 stars on the Confederate Flag represented secessionist governments in Missouri and Kentucky.  Maryland and Delaware did not have such prominent pro-secession factions.
