Install a dictatorship, purge any liberal from the country, but allow some states to vote for "rival candidate" so it's not too obvious

This looks about right. IL looks as if it won't happen for Rs anytime soon, but it should be relatively close if Trump is winning in CT, DE, NM and VA.

Yea I could see Trump winning New Jersey and Illinois but that would have to be a Reagan style land-slide.

So Trump can't win Nevada even though he lost by less than 30k votes in 2016? Just stop posting.

It won't be trending blue once the WALL is built and a large amount of Illegal Immigrant deportation begins. The demographic change the U.S is experiencing in the South-West will be minimal in a Trump Presidency.

There not all illegal, but a minority of them are also not all illegal immigrants are  "Hispanic". With the demographic change, Nevada got less and less white. Its currently at 51%. If the wall happens and illegal immigration is put to a halt. The Demographic change will be less severe towards Republicans and the state could be winnable in 2020.

Highly-successful President, mends all fences, weak Democratic nominee from a non-swing state... or a rigged election.

That is quite a landslide for Trump, but Julian Castro can work miracles if he's the Democratic nominee.
If you flipped CT, RI, and DE, the map wouldn't be so crazy.

Why would Castro lose but lose states that voted for Obama?

Sudden moderation while accomplishing most of his promises (besides the extreme stuff). Either great minority outreach or voter suppression in NM, DE, VA.

Fun facts you seem blissfully unaware of:

1) "The Wall" won't curb illegal immigration, because most illegal immigrants don't sneak over the Mexican border: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/02/03/homeland-security-produces-first-estimate-of-foreign-visitors-to-u-s-who-overstay-deadline-to-leave/

2) Illegal immigrants don't vote in large enough numbers to actually impact the election. Which makes sense, because why would you risk being deported by trying to register to vote, and then show up to the polls? What person sees the 1/1000000000 chance of being a pivotal voter is worth losing their job and home? http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2016/nov/18/blog-posting/no-3-million-undocumented-immigrants-did-not-vote-/

3) Obama has deported more illegal immigrants than any president in history. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/obamas-deportation-policy-numbers/story?id=41715661

If he points a moderate to SCOTUS, Republicans would howl but he could probably get them confirmed and really take social issues off the table and win in a landslide.

2/3 of Latinos in the United States are legal. Oh, and 54% of all births in the United States since 2000 are Latino in origin, and they already have citizenship inbuilt by the 14th Amendment. Around 45% of voters 2016 18-29 are minorities, and ... I can go on but I don't have to. Oh, one more thing. Whites as a absolute number will start dropping around 2024, from 199 million (we're at like 195 million whites right now).

The deportations remove illegal immigrants, that have no voting rights. They don't remove legal immigrants. The 1965 law that liberalized immigration quotas is the heart of your demographic "problem," and the "wall" is not going to fix it (even if you restrict legal immigration starting now). The wall is already half built (Bush 43) and deportations have been ongoing under Obama. By the President-elect's own statements, they remove about 2 million people.

Illegal immigrants, to my knowledge, have not been able to win the general amnesty that would allow them to become legal migrants. Even then so, they number just 11 million out of 320 million. 145 million Americans will cast a ballot by 2024; of that, if you legalized every single illegal immigrant, maybe 3 million would realistically vote.

The continued demographic diversification of America will continue expanding apace. I don't know if you're serious but this is the reality that diversification of America is more or less inevitable, unless you find a good way to repeal the 14th, and start depriving legal citizens of their citizenship. Which would, to put it kindly, not end well.

Well, it's very very unlikely. These things could make it happen:

- A terrible Dem nominee who makes a lot of gaffes on the trail.

- 4% GDP growth and lots of good paying new jobs

- ISIS defeated

- Trade deficit eliminated

- No scandals in Drumpf Administration (LOL)
