Yes. Rob Astorino, Carl Paladino, Craig Caruana, or Marcus Molinaro. Chris Collins could win statewide as well.

Craig Caruana would be good. He's a rising star. He should probably run for NYC mayor in 2017 or 2021 before going statewide in the 2020s.

Well, 40% in race for city council seat is not enough to win a mayorality or governorship. IMHO - only Bloomberg-type person (with very big money and strongly socially liberal) would have any chances. But i don't see scond Bloomberg in Republican party now..

I think he could beat Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley for good this time in 2017...she's tainted with the homeless shelter issue in that part of the city and state. It already defeated Assemblywoman Margaret Markey.

Rob Astorino, Carl Paladino, Ron Castorina, Assemblyman (R-Staten Island), John Quaglione (R-Bay Ridge), Chris Gibson, Craig Caruana, etc. could be a potential governor in the future.

Maybe John Flanagan in 2018....however beating Cuomo in Trump's first midterm in 2018 may be tough...2022 or 2026 maybe.
