The Convention of the Independent Liberal Party will begin during the first week of August. This would fulfill the requirement that the Convention should begin at least 15 days before the commencement of the Senate elections (August 19).

I am notifying members this early so that we can soon choose a site for the convention. The previous convention was held in Colorado, in the Midwest Region. Therefore, I would suggest that the next Convention should be held ine one of the four other regions.

Suggestions from party members on the Convention site are welcome in this thread.

Seattle.  (New Orleans sounds fine for the future, but I'd rather not have the Southeast host a convention during the summer, especially along the coast during hurricane season.)

Gays in the Military
Stem Cell Research
Age of Consent

I'm simply posting these as ideas for debate for additions to the platform once we get into Convention. I would try to remember, but I know I'll probably forget.
