This bill is a good idea.

I'm wary of having a regional military force, and I voted against the original bill cited in this legislation. I believe job creation is crucial, but military programs lead to excessive spending, and giving the Governor the power to deploy regional troops to "engage in the same conflicts as the national Atlasian military" is ambiguous. Engage in conflicts abroad? Domestically? If the Governor is given the power to deploy the Northern military with the simple stroke of a pen, we may be only that far away from a tyrannical Governor instituting martial law down the road.

My intent with this bill is to gradually integrate the Department of Defense with the national Atlasian military. I'll probably just write a bill merging the two later, but for now this bill should make them the same in all but in name. However, R2D2 does have some legitimate concerns here, so alleviate them I'll add an amendment:
