Many people have a misleading view of some symbols. They think that these symbols are nazi, but actually these symbols are only German (or Prussian). These symbols were created many years before the national socialism.
1. The Iron Cross
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Cross The Iron Cross was a military decoration of the Kingdon of Prussia, but many people relate this symbol to the uniforms of the nazi officers.
2. Uniforms of the Wehrmacht officers. Except for the swastica, the uniforms of the Wehrmacht officers were german, not nazi. The uniforms of the National Volksarmee (army of the German Democratic Republic) and the uniforms of the Wehrmacht were very lookalike.
3. Stahlhelm. The helmet of the soldiers of the Wehrmacht was created by the German Army during the WW1, and not during the WW2. Nowadays, the armies of many countries (including the USA) use a helmet that looks like the Stahlhelm.
4. Anthem "Deutschland über Alles". The lyrics was written in 1841. However, due to the association with the nazism many years after, the first stanza was removed
