How will Trump voters react in 2020?

My guess is they won't care.

I never expected Mexico to pay, and I expect him to say they are in some other way anyway. A moderator will feebly say what they are paying is 5% of the wall's cost, but he will use some stupid payback metric about how it will take 82.761 years, but they are paying plus we have new tax revenue from keeping jobs here.

Neither do I. It was just a figure of speech. Heck, there was a 50/50 shot the wall itself was just a figure of speech. We already have a wall on about a third of the border. I'd rather spend the revenue on paying down the interest on the national debt.

If Trump's unpopular, I could see this being a good line of attack for a primary challenger.
