I'm glad she appears to be taking this one seriously, but it should be a quiet one.

Assuming Baker, Weld, or possibly Healy don't run...polling has shown all three making it competitive against Warren.

Healy?

Anyway, none of them are going to run, and they'd lose anyway.

None would have any chance in a Trump Midterm, especially since he's likely to be unpopular and the Dem base will be riled up.

She's an absolutely terrible Senator, but an excellent fit for her state.

Not surprising to see that conservatives dislike her, but hey, if you guys get to have folks like Ted Cruz in the Senate, we get to have Elizabeth Warren. It's only fair. Wink

I do not see why anyone would think Charlie Baker would run for this?? He would be foolish if he did. For governor, he has at least a coins toss chance of winning re-election. For senate, it would be extremely difficult.

Good, I like to consider myself a Warrenite Democrat, so having Elizabeth Warren stick around is great.

Anyone had doubts? She represents Massachusetts well in Senate. As presidential candidate - well, here one can doubt, but not as Senator...

I mean Baker would more likely to run against Markey but would end up like when Weld ran back in 1996 (moderate popular governor runs against lesser know MA dem senator) and would most likely lose after a close race- he wouldn't have a chance against Warren.

Baker seems to me to be an executive-type person, so it's not obvious that he wants to be Senator after all. And - to be a rather popular Governor is not worse then to be a member of very unpopular among most people Congress....

I doubt Baker would sacrifice a Likely R governor race for a Lean D senate race.

Tisei or Gomez would probably make it not a double digits loss.

So Warren is the equivalent of Lyin' Ted, hated by all of humanity he has met consistently including his Senate colleagues? Lyin' Ted is a radical extremist & a massive homophobic who doesn't believe in climate change.

Warren isn't a cuckoo bird. Anyways this will be an easy win - This competitive race BS happens early but when election comes, the votes will polarize!

Such early polls are worthless. New England states still have a thing for electing "moderate Republicans" as Governors, but it's diffrent for congressional races. Weld, a guy who was reelected Governor with whooping 70% lost Senate race to Kerry two years later.

Warren is untouchable. If the GOP wants a seat in Massachusetts, they would go after the other guy.

Markey is also safe, or as safe as anyone can reasonably said to be four years before the election.
