She is too big for a Mayor election, come on!

She should run for NY Gov if she wants to return to politics - But if she wants to return to Mayor/Gov races, should would almost certainly run in 2020!

NYC Mayor is more prestigious than NY Governor IMO.

What happens in NYC affects what happens everywhere else, to a surprising extent.

DeBlasio could have made NYC a laboratory and used his bully pulpit in ways that could have shifted the national conversation.  Alas, he is feckless and probably corrupt.  But a different challenger other than the even more problematic Clinton needs to emerge.

Also, this victory would keep the very pernicious Clintonworld system of influence-peddling and crappy/shortsighted Democratic electoral strategy alive.

Over De Blasio's dead body. But what is the murder of another Catholic to her? Nothing. Fully prepared to see him disappear mysteriously.

I don't understand the hatred for Clinton. Before the election this site was cheering for her, now she's treated as anathema. You'd think she lost in a landslide, yet she won nearly 3 million more votes than Trump. She's not an abject failure and I think having her as New York City Mayor (which is for New Yorkers to decide, not anyone from outside of there) could enable her to combat the Trump administration on a number of issues and be a thorn in his side.

While I do believe Hillary should probably rest and maybe continue to help children (because that's what she does best), I think her running for NYC Mayor is fine. It's heavily Democratic aside from Staten Island, Hillary is actually popular among Blacks and other minorities (to a lesser extent), and it's in the city Trump resides in (though they already share the same home state).

Plus, many folks on this forum aren't fond of De Blasio and he is said to be not so popular (especially among Whites).

What a great way to annoy President Trump... great way to get him to actually move to DC!

Like others have explained, it's not a matter of boredom.  It's the only way to keep the donations coming to the Clinton foundation.

Um, do you know anything more about their relationship than the superficial pre-2015 level, and a couple photos? There were some really good articles written about it during the campaign. Of Trump, despite being native to NYC, never fully accepted by the Manhattan elites and desperately clinging to presidents from Reagan to Bush to Clinton. And then the Clintons, new to the NYC scene, schmoozing with the natives to make connections and build alliances. How the Ivanka/Chelsea friendship wasn't close at all, just a marketing tool useful to both for a time to show their social status. Etc.
