Trick question. Ideologies in general are overrepresented on this board; most people don't hold coherent ideological worldviews.

This.

I actually think that Ukrainians of both types are underrepresented on this board compared to real life, but other heterodox ideologies like revolutionary socialism are overrepresented.

How many Democrats here are actual social conservatives? I consider myself to be a moderate social conservative, and the only Democrat I can think of who is to the right of me on social issues is Famous Mortimer. Yes, there are a number of pro-life Democrats here, but there are plenty of pro-life Democrats and pro-choice Republicans in the real world who are not activists and not very ideological.

(raises hand)

I'm a pro-life Democrat who owns guns.

Owning guns is not a political position.

It would at least imply opposition to a complete gun ban and also adherence to certain norms that might put one outside of the "ideal liberal Democrat" stereotype.

I disagree. You can support banning guns, but think that in a place that allows guns, it's a good idea to keep some around.
