I am also shocked that they don't have a replacement plan that they want to install to replace the ACA. A BETTER plan that is CHEAPER and more people friendly than anyone ever dreamed it could be.

Waiting....

Gotta respect Ricky. With how much energy has been put into failed repeal votes, Republicans should have actually brought something to the table to sell America on. Who knows, you may win my support. But repeal sit around and hope for the best is the least responsible thing they could do.

Would the Wyden-Bennett bill be considered, with some modifications?

Who cares? Susan Collins, for example, voiced concerns about having a replacement plan in place...until the measure came to vote.

It doesn't have the name "Obamacare" in it, so maybe.

The easiest thing would be to do some minor modifications without changing any meanings (e.g., use the MSWord to replace all the "shall" with "will", etc.) and pass is it as McConnell-Ryan Healthcare act of 2017.

Well, neither does the ACA.

They need to have plan.. Can't just repeal without a replacement  They've had 7 years to think about this.  Just change some words and stick Trump's name on it.

Here's a thought, just keep what's already in place, in place.

Then work out a better lower cost plan as you go. (Good luck with that since you've had years to come up with something and have produced squat.)

Then when you have you new and improved, ready-to-go-plan ready, THEN repeal the ACA and put your plan in place.

And if you can't keep kids on their parent's plan til age 26, and if you can't keep pre-existing conditions in place, FORGET IT and go back to square one.

Five Republicans(Alexander, Corker, Crapo, Graham, and Grassley) who proposed it are still in office. Six Democrats(Cantwell, Carper, Merkley, Nelson, Stabenow, and Wyden) are.

All citizens and permanent residents would be required to pay for coverage as part of their federal tax liability. Payment would be made via tax withholding by employers.

Won't pass the House.

According to Ezra Klein of The Washington Post, the list of HAA Republican supporters is deceptive: "The plan has a lot more fake support than it has real support. If every Republican who has co-sponsored [HAA] would commit to voting for it, the plan might pass.

I pretty much guarantee this is what we will get in this administration. Not only on healthcare, but pretty much anything Trump can put his name on.
