This was the choice, we knew the choice, and America made its decision.

Republicans had the narrative of "elitists versus the common people," and campaigned in swing and some traditionally-blue states.

Democrats had the narrative of "educated humanitarian progressives versus selfish ignorant traditionalists," and campaigned in swing and some traditionally-red states... but not much in traditionally-blue states that could flip, despite the weight of the emails "scandal" and the hacks, though we did have a great support team.

America had decided to keep the Electoral College system after 2000. Hillary had the total vote but it was too concentrated, Trump won enough widespread support (and/or apathy). Enough of America for our chosen system chose the Republicans.

Now we get to see and feel the consequences, and choose how to respond. Hopefully we don't choose to become what we despised.
