Is there any chance he might be doing away with the agency?

Senate Foreign Relations Committee meeting right now in order to vote on Tillerson nomination.  Any predictions on whether Tillerson gets any Democratic votes?

I think he might ultimately be a purely party-line vote (give or take Manchin and Collins).

Mike Pompeo has been confirmed.  Right now, it's 65-27 (the only GOP no was Paul).

Nikki Haley has been confirmed as the Ambassador to the UN.  Currently, she has unanimous support, at 51-0.

EDIT: Udall has cast the first no vote.  Her confirmation vote is currently 76-1.

EDIT 2: Haley passes by a vote of 96-4.  Udall, Coons, Sanders, and Heinrich were the four no votes.

They've already said yes on Sessions, as has Manchin.

What I meant is if Sessions is confirmed by the Senate before DeVos there will only be 99 Senators, 50 Nay's 49 Ayes.
McConnell isn't stupid enough to let that happen.

Fun fact: Biden never cast a tiebreaker vote, and it looks like Pence will get one right away.

I saw on Facebook that Bob Corker is supporting DeVos as well.  When is this vote scheduled to happen?

Looks like Spicer is about to get the boot:

I'm not surprised.

I'm pretty sure Kellyanne Conjob was his first choice, but Priebus and Ryan convinced him otherwise.

I think Piers Morgan might take over. Kellyanne is finished too

This says that they are looking for a new Communications Director, not a new Press Secretary.

@Wulfric: Socialism is inevitable. Get over it.

Even if it is inevitable, I will still fight against it, as I believe it is an unamerican ideology. Pelosi said it best: "We're capitalists and that's just the way it is."

Most free market countries according to the Libertarian Heritage foundation:

1. Hong Kong

2. Switzerland

3. Singapore

4. Australia

5. New Zealand

6. Canada

7. Chile

8. Ireland

9. Estonia

10. United Kingdom

11. United States

http://www.heritage.org/index/ranking

Ever single one of those countries ahead of the US has universal health care, maternity leave, paid vacation, etc...

The Heritage Foundation is conservative, not libertarian.  And, a lot of this is Obama's fault.  The Index of Economic Freedom is also a pretty complicated calculation.

^ Oh, yes, because it is a high crime to say that Warren is a socialist and to refuse to say she shouldn't have been silenced. Roll Eyes (To Clarify, I am NOT saying that the silencing was right or wrong. I am simply not taking a position on the enforcement of a rule that I am not familiar with the exact language of.)

Elizabeth Warren is not a socialist just because you don't like her.  You're one of the most thickheaded people here so I see why that's hard for you to comprehend, but maybe you should at least try to work on fixing your image here.

Every Democrat, except maybe Joe Manchin, is a socialist.  Problem solved!!!!

Not that it will happen, but if it was 50-49 no, could Sessions vote for himself to force a tie?

Donnelly votes no.  It looks like 53-47 (or 52-47 if Sessions doesn't vote).

I think Scott Walker would be the perfect labor secretary, but I don't want him to leave his current job, which I think he can hold down in 2018 and then become Mike Pence's running mate (if Trump doesn't want another term) in 2020.

So, Pruitt is in thanks to two Dems or am I wrong?

He was confirmed 52-46, so it still would have been 50-48.  He was getting confirmed regardless.

A couple Democrats (including Nelson) vote Aye, and he is confirmed.  Currently 52-36.
