Thanks to everyone else (pretty much) for their words of support. It's a really awful situation that I can't do anything about. I'm fairly sure he knows although I haven't flat-out told him, and he doesnt seem to be any different around me; I think he just sort of accepts it.

In some ways, that's worse; I would rather like him to care somewhat, either in a good or bad way...

I know there will be comments like "Hey, at least he's still your friend" and stuff, and whilst I do appreciate that, it's kinda depressing :p

Hey Hugh, take this solace-at least he is not interested in you due to personal sexual preference.  It can be far worse if someone is not requiting due to looks, wealth, sense of humor, personality, status wealth et cetera et cetera.  Don't be too discouraged, there is a cover for every pot.

I crush over pretty much everyone.  I can't think of a single friend of mine right now who I've never felt something towards, and thought it could maybe lead somewhere...

Also, I have this thing where I fall instantly in love with anyone who shows even a slight bit of interest in me.  Even if I didn't like them before, once I find out they like me, I begin to like them back.  I'm also prone to multiple crushes at once within my group of friends.

So what's worse?  Falling in love with one straight boy?  Or falling in love with literally everyone you know, gay or straight, at one time or another?


Blah...and now I'm just rambling.  But then, I've been awake all night so I've earned that right.
