According to you, which potential Republican senatorial candidate has the best chance of beating Ted Cruz in a primary challenge in 2018?

Michael McCaul. McCaul would beat the Castro brothers or Wendy Davis by 15 points in a 2018 midterm unless Trump screws up.

Anyone to me is preferable aside from George P. Bush, who I think will be able to ironically bridge the Trump movement and the establishment if he campaigns as a Mike Pence style, softly-pro Trump Republican. Actually, in some regards, he could be like Rick Perry: a garden variety red (Atlas blue) state Republican who basically is Tim Pawlenty with some flavor.

My ideal Texan Senator is Debra Medina, but she won't ever win even if Glen Beck didn't smear her as a truther.

If Rick Perry basically spent only a year at Energy he could certainly win the general. But I don't know enough about the TXGOP to know if he would be the party's choice to push Cruz off a cliff.
