New York was the most populated state for 160 years. It is a dark blue state.

The four states with 20-29 EVs are Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida. Illinois and Pennsylvania have 20 and will likely lose at least one after reapportionment, and Florida has 29 and will likely gain an EV or two. New York also has 29, but is projected to lose one.

Voted 60-70%. Each of Florida gaining, Illinois losing, and Pennsylvania losing is close to guaranteed, but the chance of one of those not happening probably exists. Come to think of it I probably should have shot higher.

Illinois and Pennsylvania are not growing, so they stand to lose an EV or two by 2024. Florida is  gaining, so it joins the '30' club with Texas. New York could lose a little and end up with 27 or 28 electoral votes.

I predict such with about an 80% chance.

I think Florida will be the only one in the 30's in the 2020s, as I think texas will probably have 40 or 41 next decade.

I corrected a pair of typos after you posted.

Probably. And it could be the only one in the 20s for a long time.  There doesn't seem to be any reason to think that New York wouldn't still be in 4th place in 2050. I'm pretty confident that the order will be CA, TX, FL, NY for a while. IL and PA are pretty neck and neck while GA and NC are growing , so who knows about 5th place.
