They should have it in Philadelphia to lock down PA's electoral votes.

Hosting the Convention in Pennsylvania or NC hasn't helped the Democrats win those states, so why not host it on the West Coast, which is by far the most progressive part of the country?

Exactly. It should be in LA.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a symbol of our determination to win back the white working class -or at least a respectable share.  Also a fine example of a formerly industrial city's ability to reinvent itself.

Because that worked so well last year?

Columbus was the #2 pick in 2016.

Milwaukee if Wisconsin has a Republican governor.

San Antonio could be interesting.

A better pick might be Milwaukee, WI.

Arizona or Florida (Use the Convention as a tool to register more Voters... so maybe Arizona)

... Although Atlanta, Ga is not a bad idea either.

I picked Pittsburgh with second choice Milwaukee for the Republicans and honestly I think both would be great choices for the Democrats as well.

If they wanna pursue more of a Sun Belt strategy then maybe Atlanta, but that would be a risky move because it would effectively compete in Georgia or bust.

Miami or Phoenix would also work with that strategy. Someplace in Michigan would also be nice but as I mentioned in the other thread Detroit simply isn't large enough to merit the convention any longer, and there's nothing else in Michigan that's big enough.

Finally, they could have it Cleveland if they want to try to take back Ohio. The Midwest will almost certainly be where the Democrats have to go back and fight for electoral votes (Sun Belt strategies are honestly way too optimistic even four years from now), so someplace in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or Wisconsin (or Michigan or Iowa if either had a good candidate city; neither does, however). Twin Cities in Minnesota are ok except that those pretty much have to be expected Democrat even if they lose, so it's probably just not a big enough electoral prize to merit the convention giving them a boost there.
