No, for me. The closest I've come was seeing Obama's motorcade in 2008. Seattle just isn't a hotbed for rallies. I think Bernie had two in 2016 (one of which was cut short by BLM protesters) and Obama had one in 2008.

Jimmy Carter taught Sunday school at a church in Lafayette, I didn't attend that church but went in for the service so that I could meet Jimmy. Shook his hand, told him that I admired his work for rural and communities. Said that he wasn't one who deserved admiration, but that the communities themselves should be the focus of the work. My heart melted, I was in love.

No, though I did go to a Bernie rally back in March.

Dubya at a rally in '04 (for the experience)
Clinton's hand in 98ish as he was driving by after he landed at the AF base I was stationed at
it seems like I went to see HW Bush in 92, but I really don't remember
I saw the top of Jesse Jackson's head in '88, he was at my High School
and apparently I saw Ford in '76, but I was 3

During a conference I've attended as a reporter, I sat not-so-far behind Kwaśniewski. Jaruzelski was also present. I haven't got a chance to speak to any, though.

No, but I have shaken hands with Scott Walker (twice), Ted Cruz, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum (three times), Ben Carson (two or three times), Carly Fiorina, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, and Jim Gilmore.  I was also in a picture from a distance with Jeb Bush and have seen most of the other 2016 Republican candidates (all the rest except for Trump, Huckabee, and Pataki) in person, even if from a bit of a distance.  I'm still hoping to find a way to meet Trump someday.

Obama's motorcade drove past me when I was in Brooklyn a few years ago at a conference. We all were outside waiting for it to drive by.

No, but I did see Bob Dole at the Four Seasons in Chicago once ... the one and only and likely last time I ever found myself somewhere so nice, haha (thanks, Dad's work!).

I also saw Chris Christie speak at a sports bar in Cedar Rapids one time, but he barely even counts as a losing candidate.

Yes, I saw Obama at the Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony at Arlington in 2014. I also saw Bob Dole at the WWII Memorial on the same weekend.

PPK (the current president of Peru) in 2011, in a presidential debate organized by a relative of mine, I Shaked hands and talked to him for like 15 minutes
I saw losing candidate Elisa Carrió (2nd place in 2007 Argentina presidential elections) from a distance a couple of times,
I talked with Bodart and Vilma Ripoll (candidates for president from a tiny left wing party) a couple of times
I once went to a talk given by Fernando Henrique Cardoso ( Forner president of Brazil)

The most prominent politicians I've actually met were Paul Wellstone, Al Franken, and Rudy Boschwitz.
