Pence clearly has no problem with folks who sexually harass women, so I guess this makes sense.

Yes, or like Clarence Thomas. "Both sides do it" is not an excuse to avoid moral self-reflection even when it's true.

Yes, or like Clarence Thomas and Donald Trump.  And FTR, I do think Bill Clinton should've been removed from office and that it's disgraceful that groups like NOW were nowhere to be found during that mess, but thanks for playing Smiley

It was a reference to Thomas' notorious silence in his history as a Supreme Court justice. He's barely spoken a few sentences since being confirmed. I assumed that was well known.

Uh, isn't this kinda problematic when it comes to the separation of powers, even if it's symbolic?

Uh, it's a well known joke that he doesn't speak much when actually overseeing the SCOTUS cases? I'm not seeing the outrage here.

Thomas's allegations have a lot less credibility. Commenting about female sexual anatomy is far better than multiple rapes of women. Neither allegations should be compared with the multiple rapes by Bill Clinton.

Yeah, let's talk about a President from the 1990s who's wife just lost the election. They're irrelevant to the national debate. That's the point of a loss.

Now, President-elect (Expletive) grabber is very much relevant and in the news. I understand Trump Republicans are now OK with Clinton-esque behavior since it comes from Trump, but just own up to that and tell yourself that it's all good in the 'hood.

(Please don't talk about your Christian values. If you voted for Trump as a "Christian," really, do I need to go on?)

lol. Are you done projecting your perceived moral superiority over me? Good.

Allegations against both Clarence and Trump have absolutely zero evidence to back it up (and, in fact, only surfaced during peak political opportune moments. Weird that). Remember those half dozen women that 'came forward' after the Access hollywood tape released? (Because it wasn't like Trump was in the news 24/7 for the last years or so). Their allegations had dozens of easily debunked holes in them, yet the media was more than happy to have them on their shows for hours at a time. Whats the media standard for this? Can anyone come forward with such claims and be put on prime time without a shred of verifiable proof that any offense actually occurred?

In the end, we all know what it was - a standard political hit job propagated by a complaint media. Let's not pretend otherwise, okay? Same thing for Thomas.

Bill on the other hand, actually did assault women, and performed sexual acts in the oval office. Sorry, but that's not really comparable with 'locker room talk'.

Why? Joe Biden was also sworn in by Sonia Sotomayor?

Didn`t know that Bill Clinton was ever convicted of rape.

It's interesting the Vice Presidents were sworn-in by various people, not just Justices. It used to be common for outgoing VP to swear in the new one. Sometimes Speaker performed the function, or a Senator (Dirksen swore-in Agnew).

Pence will also apparently be using the same bible Reagan swore in on.
