My 21st  is on Friday but the liquor store across the street is shut down for a week.

Tomorrow? (I guess we were born less than a week apart)
Saturday, actually.

Wow! Two terrible trolls born in a short time period - that reminds me of Adolf Hitler, António de Oliveira Salazar, Charlie Chaplin, Fritz Pfeffer, and Otto Frank being born within a month of each other.

Staying up for the new MST3K season, and I'm already losing my mind.

I've been doing a little bit of analysis about the age gap from the 2016 election, both in relation to the state's trend and, using Senate data, who tended to run above Trump with youngs.  I will have it all up soon, but for a really bizarre age gap, look at IA-SEN (18-29s voted for Grassley by 30, his largest margin) or WI-SEN (where Johnson won 18-24s by double digits)!

Someone backed into my car at work earlier this week. Pain was scraped low on the left bumper but no dents at least. Camera was at an odd angle and a big SUV that didn't hit me mostly blocked it so they couldn't tell what happened. Damage is $623.25 which is below the deductible, woo hoo!

Mere minutes into the Netflix series "FRΔT STΔR" and it is rife with, not only stereotypes, but absurd exaggerations.

I had an interesting conversation right after school earlier this week. It went something like this:

White Guy: "You look like a school shooter."
Me: "Is it because I'm dark-skinned?"
WG: "Actually, you know most school shooters are white guys."
Me: "Are you threatening me?"

I told this story to my cousin, and it went something like this:

White Cousin: "This is why you shouldn't talk to people. Whenever they are friendly to you, you always respond weirdly."
Me: "He was trying to be friendly? You crackers are really bad at being friendly.
*My cousins laugh*
Me: "Seriously, who tries to make friends by telling someone they look like a school shooter? Secondly, who wants to be friends with someone they think looks like a school shooter?"

I figured you guys would appreciate racially tinged, funny conversation because I know none of you are easily triggered.

Yeah, all my friends are tweeting about it incessantly. I guess I kind of get it, since I haven't really been able to peel away, but the premise is just really depressing, and since I'm not a part of the cliques that are constantly involved in drama I can't relate much.

"Humans" are bombarding social media with references to it as though the rest of humanity is supposed to know what it's about by simple reference to the title. Presumably, it is preachy.

Gah, just noticed the grammatical error. I need to edit my posts more thoroughly.

That's exactly the word I was looking for. Moral lessons are often a critical component of storytelling, but I don't like it when shows tell me that I'm a sh**tbag.

Just recently had an interview for a possible internship with Congressman Lance. Still waiting to hear back but keeping my fingers crossed

The district office. It's a 15 minute drive from where I live and I can't really leave NJ for most of the summer, unfortunately

I've spent the last five minutes at the bus stop watching a socialist protester at the Wells Fargo across the street dancing on a statue. A bus pulls up for a few seconds, and when it leaves, she has vanished, nowhere to be seen. Have socialists developed a means of teleportation, or was she just raptured?

Kalwejt, that looks like quite the find!

In any case, it looks like my last week of undergrad will be spent wasting away in Hawaiian shirts while I devote minimal hours of the day to study. I will also be contacting my (hopefully!) future employer this week.
