Warren and Booker are definitely running.  I don't think Bernie will, but he'll preside over the primary as a beloved grandfather, whose endorsement will be sought.

Steve Bullock and John Bel Edwards are both Governors in Trump states.  They will appeal to Democrats, particularly I think older white male Democrats (and they are left) who really don't want to go with a fire-breathing liberal.  Their constituencies though will probably flock to Joe Biden if he decides he's going to do it.  A Biden candidacy will uproot the whole race, since he carries Obama's legacy and would most likely receive the endorsement of the former President and First Lady.  The Obama endorsement is even bigger than the Bernie endorsement.

Elizabeth Warren's going to be "the woman" - the one that will finally do what Hillary couldn't, but there's been hype about Tulsi Gabbard.  Why?  Because she's pretty.  That's really it.  If she was an older, less conventionally attractive Hawaiian woman (like Mazie Hirono) I don't think we'd even be talking about her.  There may be a woman, though, that will enter the primary for some reason, but most Democratic women will coalesce around Warren.

Roy Cooper is bound to emerge as a key figure.  He is the Governor of a huge electoral prize and a state that will be hotly contested in 2020.  If he is constantly battling the Republican legislature in NC, and I think he will be, he might receive a hero status among the left.

I'm a Democrat and I'm not really thrilled with anyone on this list.  Am I alone?

But on this list, Biden.

Of all these, Warren is the best, though she is more anti-gun than I would like. Hopefully Bernie runs.

Klobuchar is more likely to run than half the names on here imo.

Torn between Biden and Warren. Good Boy Roy's been fine, but he should run for re-election instead of President.

Only names I'd object to on this list are Booker, Cuomo and Hickenlooper. My first choice would be Warren, but there's some pretty good names there.

Klobuchar, Gillibrand, and Castro (none of whom are listed above) have all at least done *something* to indicate presidential interest….unlike, say, John Bel Edwards, who would presumably have to decline to run for reelection in order to run for president in 2020 (since it’s not really feasible to be flying to Iowa and participating in presidential primary debates while you’re simultaneously running for governor).

Warren, Edwards, or Biden, in that order. I love Warren's fiery passion and strong progressive stances. I love Edwards's personal appeal and how he'd speak to more WCW. And I love Biden - need I say more about the man?

I think Biden/Gabbard would be a pretty strong ticket.

Biden. He is a genuine person who many Americans love, and I think he'd be a great general election candidate who could appeal to independents and unite Democrats.

If Biden doesn't run, however, I'd be inclined to support Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren.

Cooper > Edwards > Biden > Bullock

But Sherrod Brown over any except Cooper.

Also a lot of these will definitely not run - cooper, edwards, and bullock aren't all running, for example

1. Steve Bullock
2. Joe Biden
3. John Bel Edwards
4. Andrew Cuomo

Policy-wise, I prefer all three over Biden, but Biden is the one I'm voting for in this poll because he has the best personality and the lowest chance of being able to win in 2024/2028.

If Bernie is doing well health-wise I think he will run and win easily.  He is leading the opposition against Trump.   He was at the Michigan rally yesterday and he was the main speaker despite Chuck Schumer also being there.  Today he was the main speaker at the MLK event in Atlanta and he got loud cheers from the crowd (a crowd that had voted for Hillary in the 2016 primary).
Also Keith Ellison is the favorite to become the DNC Chairman despite the efforts of MSNBC (Comcast), and he's from the Bernie wing of the party and a lot of Berniecrats are winning important positions in state parties (Berniecrats are now the dominant force in the Hawaii and California Democratic parties).

If Bernie doesn't run the candidate will most likely be a woman from the midwest: Debbie Stabenow, Amy Klobuchar or Tammy Baldwin.
