If she runs, she will all but ensure that Dems hold the seat.  Comstock would be a much better choice.

Democrats were never going to lose this seat. Also lol@all the hate Ingraham gets. This really reminds me of all the people who predicted that Joni Ernst would get crushed because she is "crazy". Of course no Democrat would vote for Ingraham, but no Democrat would vote for Comstock either. I also highly doubt that Ingraham would be DOA in a Senate race in IN and MO.
Miles posted an article on Decision Desk that talked about how Comstock overperformed Trump. There were lots of Clinton/Comstock voters. Also, as recently as about 2 years ago a Republican Senate candidate who didn't even get much (if any) help from the NRSC won Loudoun County, and came within 3 points of winning Prince William County. Comstock would certainly put up a good fight.

I want Carly Fiorina to run for this seat. I love her and I recently had the pleasure of meeting her. She's incredibly kind and genuine. She would be a great addition to the US senate. #Carly2018 #CarlyforSenate
She'd get chewed up and spit out by Kaine.
This, plus she'd clearly be a carpetbagger. Fiorina is so overrated.

Didn't she move like 5-6 years ago? That seems decently long. Also, if I recall correctly, over half of Virginia's residents were born out of state, so it's hard to see charges of carpetbagging having much effect when so much of the state is non-native.

At any rate, I think Fiorina is still a weak candidate, so naturally I am rooting for her in this race.
True, she's been there for some time, but as she's already lost a race in California and doesn't have too strong ties to the state it could easily be painted that way, many people would probably think: "Oh, she lost a race in one state, then moved, waited a bit, and tried to win a seat here."

"Weak candidate"
-independently wealthy
-highly educated in a highly educated state
- great speaker
- great at debating
- female
- conservative but sensible
- appeals to non- trump voters
Everyone on this forum hates her, but to me she's one of the best leaders in America today...
Barbara Comstock checks every box too, including the one in bold which I don't think Carly does (though Carly is richer).
