So let me get this straight

An employee at NBC, one of the most respected and renowned news organizations in the world caught wind of a plot between CNN, another one of the most respected and renowned news organizations in the world (unless you're PEOTUS or his ilk), and Buzzfeed, one of the least respected and easily the most annoying social media news outlets, to release a video that has been rumored to have existed for months, but was not released in time to stop the election of PEOTUS...and that NBC employee's first instinct was to go to Infowars?

This reeks of bullshit.
