Not to be pessimistic, but when you start being admitted to the hospital for pneumonia every couple of months, that is a pattern that usually occurs at the end of one's life. I've seen it in older relatives multiple times.
What makes it sadder is that I doubt Barbara Bush will live much longer after her husband dies. From what I've read about them, they have a level of devotion to one another that is above and beyond that of any other recent presidential couple.
It's just logical, not pessimistic. I've lost 4 grand parents, 1 parent, and 2 inlaws to age.......they died with varying problems but we knew when the end was coming. Poppy Bush is in his 90s and has had a wonderful life, but when you get pneumonia as often as he does, the heart is going to give out.
When it's time, no regrets for that man, I'm sure.
But it will be a sad day for us.
