Booker seems likeable and broad appeal even though the far left hates him

Booker, though each of these candidates has advantages and disadvantages.

I think it will be a dark-horse candidate. So, of all of these, the most likely is Deval Patrick.

By the way :

I'm not a native speaker, what does WI stands for here ? (I assume it's not Wisconsin.)

Can't ...uhh... the Zuck.

Also can't Bleep the Streep. Meryl for President!

In all seriousness, probably Booker. Patrick seems like very much an outside possibility, and Baldwin has shown no interest in running. The others are all varying degrees of plausible (Harris next after Booker, then Warren, then Sanders, who I think is unlikely to run).

Of those on the list, Booker (is Black), followed by Sanders (winner of the White vote in the 2016 Democratic primary).

I think Sherrod Brown will take make of the prior Sanders voters.

His voice sounds really terrible, though. I'm actually afraid he has some health problem, it can't be normal.

I really don't think Brown is going to run. He seems to enjoy being a senator and he has a pretty powerful post as ranking member (and chairman, if Dems win back the Senate) on the Banking Committee where he gets to work on issues he cares a lot about.

There are some politicians who just aren't interested in the presidency. Chris Murphy and Martin Heinrich, for example, are two candidates who'd presumably do well in a Democratic primary but Murphy has said about a million times he's not going to run and Heinrich has done virtually nothing to raise his profile. Which makes sense, being in the Senate, especially from a non-swing state, is a pretty good gig. You gotta be realistic about your career ambitions.

I think Chris Murphy's ultimate ambition would be Health Secretary. He cares about Mental health a lot (makes sense, because of Sandy Hook).

I was thinking Democratic Leader of the Senate, but you may be right as well. Murphy's a uniquely talented politician though, bit of a shame he doesn't want to run.

Chris Murphy is very intelligent and seems to care about his constituent. However, he lacks this brilliant touch that many look for in a president. He is not a genius lawyer or a cunning businessman, nor an extremely charismatic leader that everyone instantly love. People tend to wait for the perfect president, like some type of providential man. If this fad die down, maybe he will reconsider. He could also be a good VP pick, and from there end up President, who knows. (Also, he reminds me of Al Gore.)

Cory Booker (D-NJ)  can win the Democratic nomination by appealing to the 2008 Obama and 2016 Clinton coalition. Regarding the General Election. He needs Sherrod Brown (D-OH ) to win blue collar voters needed to win PA-20,MI-16,and WI-10 (278ev) or Roy Cooper (D-NC) to win battleground southern states in FL-29 and NC-15 (276ev)

I agree... Cory Booker & Sherrod Brown on a ticket together would be pretty Strong.

Booker and Klobuchar. Klobuchar has the needed Midwestern appeal, and she checks off the woman box (which is probably needed because it is kinda ridiculous that we still haven't elected a woman to a nationwide office).

What about Baldwin(assuming she gets re-elected in 2018)? or does being a Lesbian disqualify her?

It's fascinating how there's so many MA-based candidates being thrown around. We had Kerry in 2004 and Romney in 2012, but speculators here have mentioned at least three (Patrick and Pocahontas for Ds and Baker for Rs).

Those of us away from the media centers of the Northeast call it East coast bias.

I think people will have buyer's remorse with Booker and will be skeptical about it since Obama didn't have a 3rd term presidency with Hillary Clinton. We will see though. But, I rather have someone brand new.
