After the election of Adams/Jefferson, (with the possible exception of Lincoln/Johnson) there were no mixed party tickets. A mixed-party ticket would be if two parties were on one ticket, a made up example of this is if the 2000 election tied at 269-269. President selection would go to the house, VP selection would go to the Senate. They could pick the normal tickets, or they could mix them. (Bush/Liberman or Gore/Cheney) These scenarios are interesting to me, So I thought to ask what any of you thought would be an interesting mixed-party ticket. You could just say which would be interesting and why, or if you'd like to, create a tied election scenario. It's up to you.

(Personally, It would be interesting to me to see a Biden/Pence or Romney/Biden ticket.)

Kerry/McCain was considered in 2004. Or McCain/Lieberman in 2008. Apparently Humphrey considered picking Nelson Rockefeller as his VP in 1968.

Bush would've had to change his registration to Maine or Connecticut.

Chris Matthew or someone recommend a Hillary/Kasich ticket when it became clear Kasich was not going to support Trump. Considering their polar opposite views on choice, it would've been an interesting choice to say the least.

He suggested that in about May 2015.

We're not counting Anderson/Lucey or the almost-happened Wallace/Benson are we?

In that case:

Nixon/LBJ would've been interesting, but also creepy.`

Truman/Ike (or Ike/Truman if Truman had it his way in '48)

Hoover/Roosevelt in 1920 was an actual idea...gotta wonder what that would've been like.

And who can't entertain Roosevelt/Roosevelt had Teddy lived?

Roosevelt/Willkie was apparently an option in 1944.

Like I said, when it became obvious Kasich wasn't going to support Trump.

Nixon/Connally '72, duh. I believe Eisenhower in 1956 considered dropping Nixon for Ohio Govermor Frank Lausche (D), stating at one point he'd always wanted to run with a Catholic.

Margaret Chase Smith-Robert F. Kennedy (Obviously would have to be pre-1968, before RFK was killed)
Ronald Reagan-Scoop Jackson (has to be pre-1984; Jackson died in 1983)
Jeane Kirkpatrick-Daniel Patrick Moynihan (1984 or afterwards once Kirkpatrick became a Republican)
Jack Kemp-Joe Lieberman
Gary Hart-John McCain (assuming Hart had no scandal and ran later)
John McCain-Joe Lieberman
Joe Manchin-Susan Collins

Vice Versa for all of these tickets would be good too.

Or if Taft had made him Attorney General.

FDR campaigned for Bryan and Wilson against Theodore Roosevelt, though.
