Well, that's a good sign.  I'm not expecting much more than this though.

No strong feelings, but good sign the administration is heading in a conservative direction.

Absolutely awful, but unsurprising.

This seems like a bad idea from a Pro-Life perspective.  Planned Parenthood is primarily a pill dispensary, and its mission is to decrease unwanted pregnancies.  Removing federal funding will likely lead to more unplanned or unwanted pregnancies.

Anyway, has the president this authority?  If it gets funded by congress, then mustn't congress be the branch to defund it?

That's a win for them. The anti-choice crew are not "Pro-Life". That's a snow job. They're pro-pregnancy, and anti-choice, generally opposed to women have control over their own reproduction.

"Pro-Lifers" consistently support the death penalty, policies that lead to higher mortality among infants and months, policies that lead to worse life outcomes and lower quality of life. All they are interested in is their own self-righteousness and controlling other people.

Giving money to Planned Parenthood for non-abortion related services frees up funds for them to use for abortions.

Planned Parenthood doesn't "use funds" for abortions.  Those are paid for entirely by the woman seeking the abortion or her insurance.

I'm personally pro-life, but I don't care about abortion. Life is what you make it. You decide to be a criminal, that's on you, not society.

Yeah, that's it. Not because lower class women will be denied proper health care necessities, and that unsafe abortions will skyrocket.

Pp will still exist it might just have to focus more on "care" without the extra money for electioneering

I would be fine with this if churches would stop electioneering too.

Planned Parenthood has a political PAC and it's funds are separate. If anything this is going to cause more money to flow into their PAC and give them ability to fund more candidates.

Hopefully some of the kids who would have been aborted instead become illegal immigrants and tip future US elections to Democrats.

This policy flips every 8 years. Obama repealed it . Bush reinstated it. Clinton repealed it. This is no surprise.

That is certainly true for a lot of them.  While it is possible to oppose abortion for genuinely compassionate reasons, many anti-choicers oppose any assistance to poor single mothers struggling to take care of their children, raising legitimate questions about the the anti-choicers' motives.

This is really a moderate position.  Forcing people to pay for abortions is extreme.

Trump has abandoned the culture wars and yet Democrats are still trying to paint him as a Christian fundamentalist.

Get ready, my fellow progressives, for four (or maybe eight) years of absolute hell. This is only the beginning, and it's going to get much worse. If you think you can't hate Trump any more than you do right now, just wait. He'll give you about 3,000 more reasons to hate him in the next few months.
