I did a thread on the most conservative county in the least Trump state against the most liberal county in the least Clinton state.

This time, we're going back to 2012. To no one's surprise, Romney did best in Utah, while Obama did best in his birth-state Hawaii.

So which is it this time?

Ski country or the one urban mess in a bunch of tropics? One of the least Mormon areas in a Mormon state, or one with such an enclave on the North Shore but not so religious?

My vote is obvious on this one.

I had the pleasure of living near and working in Summit County Utah for a few years. Absolutely loved it. The elevation issues and the valley inversions severely disrupted my health so I could not live there long term. But I must say Park City Utah is beautiful and hope I will always be connected there.

I'll take Utah. I've heard it's breathtaking out there. Not to say Hawaii isn't, but I imagine there are far fewer tourists in Utah to take the fun out of it Tongue

Not a fan of its politics at all, but Hawaii sounds like a wonderful place.

Both are horrible places, but both aren't the worst of the worst. Honolulu, I guess, because fewer Mormons (though much worse political climate).

-Well, there are fewer of them, aren't there?

Well obviously.  But I have to disagree with what you wrote in your previous message.  Hawaii is not a horrible place by any means.  If it wasn't so expensive I would definitely move back.

As much as I dislike winter and snow, I think I'd take that over an extremely expensive tourist-filled city.

Summit County/Park City .. their economy is largely centered around tourism! But you get some break from tourists in Spring and Fall.
