the people organizing those stuff have said themselves they guess there have been between 500k and 700k visitors....which means......there have been a whole lot of people but fewer than in 2009.

everything else is just a distraction and this whole topic is ludicrous.

the only problem is, that the WH spokesman didn't say something like... REAL AMERICANS CAN'T GO TO D.C. WHENEVER THEY PLEASE AND HAVE REAL LIVES WITH REAL JOBS ......but: WE ARE THE GREATEST EVER PERIOD!

It was still the second or third biggest crowd for an inauguration in history.  Not sure what we should be so ashamed of (yes, the extreme disparity picture was taken about 90 minutes before he was sworn in, but the crowd was still only about half the size of 2009- likely largely due to the DC region being so Democratic).

no one should be ashamed of anything...this spin is just distracting from the fact, that the administration tries to make their own reality.

this thread isn't at all about the crowd size...it's about the spin which gets the party rolling with lying about anything with a straight face.

inside conservative twitter-verse there is an interesting debate.

the never-trumpers and hardcore-ideologues are calling out the trump administration while some of the more tribal "conservatives" are calling it sweet revenge for the obama years and the media system in general and are celebrating a possible crackdown on the media system.

seems a bit like an "Order 66" falllout happening live.

Kellyanne (learn to spell her name) was the first woman to manage a winning presidential campaign.

i agree with your assessment of press sec. but she managed about 1/5 of the campaign at most and got outplayed in that timeframe by the likes of bannon, imho.

but it's possible that her personal skills convinced trump that he must "shut up" to win.
