For reference, the text of the Government Thread Act as it currently stands is as follows:

The Government Thread Act

Clause I

The Senate authorises the creation of a permanently stickied thread to be named the "Government Headquarters" thread on the Atlas Forum Government board. The thread is to be monitored by the Secretary of Forum Affairs, who may make further regulations pertaining to the thread, and is to be created as soon as time allows.

Clause II

It is the responsibility of each member of the Cabinet to create and/or maintain a thread in the Atlas Forum Government Board relating to their office. There shall also be a similar thread for the President of the nation. If the Vice-President determines it useful, a Vice-Presidential thread shall be created using the same guidelines outlined for the previously listed thread.

Clause III

The threads created and/or maintained by each member of cabinet and the executive shall be linked to from the opening post of the 'Government Headquarters' thread.

Clause IV

The Secretary of Forum Affairs shall also include a link to the Constitution, and to any other threads considered relevant by the Secretary.

Implementation

This bill, if passed, shall come into effect immediately, with the creation of the thread following the guidelines set out in clause I.

As far as I can tell, all this is doing, essentially, is to allow government officials to put their office thread in the Elections forum if they so wish instead of the Government forum.  I don't really think there's a lot to debate about on this bill.

Right, well, nobody has anything to say about this, and I don't really know of anything that can be said about this, so I'm going to override Article 4, Section 1, Clause 1 that says that this needs 72 hours' debate time.  If Emsworth could post his approval here, we can proceed.

I approve of the PPT's suggestion, pursuant to Article 7, Clause 1.

The question is on final passage of the bill. All those in favor, say Aye; those opposed, say No.

This bill has enough votes to pass. Senators have twenty-four hours to vote or to change their votes.

There have voted:
Aye: 6
No: 0

Therefore, the Amendment to the Government Thread Act passes. I present the bill to the President for his signature.
