it's a good thing, israel's enemies are not fanatics who believe into salvation for killing infides in the afterlife and have never thought loud about how one nuke alone would destroy israel while even multiple nuke wouldn't destroy their own country forever.

The real fun will start, when people who have nukes do not have an actual country to govern and otherwise be responsible for. I think we still, probably, have about 5 years before that happens.

Well, think of Bangladesh getting it!

Seriously, though, it will be much worse.

John McCain, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski will not vote for it. And I have a tough time seeing people like Lindsay Graham, Rob Portman, Lamar Alexander, Ben Sasse, etc. either. Not happening.

Wow, amazing idea. Not likely to happen, but let's hope for the best. Down with the UN.

Uh, you do realize that if this happened the US would no longer be able to veto all those resolutions condemning Israel?

i am most interested in the kind of system which would replace the UN.

if trumpism becomes the religion of the US i would bet on a chinese-lead free trade alliance and an US-lead protectionism alliance.

You would have to wait till the end of WWIII to have any meaningful insight into it.

Which is precisely why this is a terrible idea and will never happen.

Wrong approach. The US should use its power in the UN Security Council far more aggressively and bring it to heel.

The UN absolutely needs to be reformed from the disgusting pit it's become, and that can't be done without the US there.

The UN means nothing as long as it gives the PRC a seat on the Security Council.

I can see an Alt-Right bloc led by Russia,UK, and the US with maybe Turkey (weird, right?) and India being all about bringing world peace by splitting the world up into self-sufficient ethnic enclaves run by some weird Santaneresque pseudo feudalism. The entire ultimate goal would be global stability through some weird Neo-Indo-Aryan global caste system which predetermines all disputes to basically anything.

I can also see Germany, China, Canada, and the parts of Europe that resist the Alt-Right becoming some sort of global bloc based on increased globalism and technocracy to the point their half of the globe is truly "run like a business".

That's where the world is going right now anyway. That doesn't mean we are close now or will ever get to that point, but it's not impossible within the next 15 years, and definitely not the next 50. I'd put it somewhere in the realm of getting people to Mars or having a computer wanting to be a person.

For the love of all that is holy, must the left piss themselves over everything in the age of Trump?

So far those who have expected the worst have always been proven correct, so...

But the Democrats have been great at throwing away their political capital on nonsense for years. If they keep it up, they'll be unable to stop Trump on issues that really matter.
