I took this as:  I'm starting to get heat for looking like everything I do is calculated towards running in 2020... so I better lower the talk a bit.

Even Obama said in 2004 that he was not interested about running in 2008, but he finally did.

Translation, maybe the Bernie supporters will ignore me if I claim I have no interest in running.

Donald Trump has proven that what you say in politics does not need to have any actual credibility behind it. Things can be true when you want them to be or false when you want them to be. The voters hear what they want to hear anyway.

In other words... this doesn't matter.

He copped so much flak fro voting against the Sanders-Klobuchar amendment that he had to say this. Did anyone else see his meltdown on Twitter?

If you could give me a penny for every future candidate that said such a thing first, I'd become a new George Soros.

I recall opening the Wikipedia page for US presidential election, 2008, back in 2005, and seeing two names who had ruled out running for the Democratic nomination: Senator Hillary Clinton, of New York, and Senator Barack Obama, of Illinois. This statement means nothing at all, and Booker's behavior shows he is very likely running.

I love how Democrats think there is such thing as "no means yes" in some contexts but not others.

My "Booker is the Democrat Little Marco" theory rings true.

I don't think "progressives" and "blue dogs" combined make up a majority of the Democratic primary electorate.

They make up a heck of a lot more combined than any one other group by itself, and I still find the idea that Booker could gain enough support without lucking into a Hillary situation ("I'm NOT the socialist!") is laughable.
